A 4-day CAMP learning English Language Art skills like sequence, retelling, and comprehension, & more while doing fun activities about unicorns and mermaids dressed up as a princess. Make pudding, sing/dance, interview a mermaid, & more.

Description

Class Experience

During this class, students will learn many skills which are a part of common core and/or standards of learning for this age level. They are:
-letters, upper and lower
-reading comprehension
-beginning, middle, and end of a story
-Measuring and counting
-Onset/rime, vocabulary, spelling
-Retelling
-Sequence.
-skills related to music and art

Materials: Optional- Princess or Prince costumes of some sort A measuring cup that will hold 2 cups Milk-2 cups (don’t pour it. I want to see if the student can tell you when to stop) 3.4-ounce size of Instant Pudding- vanilla Whipped cream-smallest is fine Mini-sized Marshmallows (just put some in a bowl. Students will count out a very small number Rainbow Sprinkles of some sort 1 color food coloring, student choice or what you already have. Whisk Medium bowl for making pudding Small bowl for putting dessert together and eating spoon for eating, some sort of spoon to spoon the pudding into the eating bowl, and a spoon for whipped cream. Tablespoon measuring spoon to measure sprinkles. The printout of the crown Crayons Parents help them cut it out and tape it to the correct size of their head after DAY 3
4 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental Guidance- All outside resources such as the book, online books or websites are only offered through screen share with no direct access from the student.
Also, students may dance to a short song. Please make sure they have adequate space, free from hazards and access to water, all to prevent injury.
Parental Guidance- Please be careful around the kitchen stove, and objects students could cut themselves on. Please be aware of allergens in the food or could have been around other facilities and foods that can cause allergies such as nuts and dairy.
Parental Guidance: Any sources are only being shown through screen-share and will not be accessible by the student.
