In this English Language Arts class, learners will embark on a fun and imaginative journey into the world of creative writing by designing their own magical potion! Through this activity, students will practice procedural paragraph writing by crafting clear, step-by-step instructions for their potion. This class encourages creativity while focusing on important writing skills. Learners will: 🔹 Draw a picture of their magical potion, bringing their idea to life on paper. 🔹 Select magical ingredients such as unicorn tears, phoenix feathers, or a sprinkle of stardust. 🔹 Decide what their potion does—whether it makes them invisible, helps them fly, or grants super strength! 🔹 Complete a graphic organizer to organize their thoughts and ideas before they start writing. 🔹 Turn their ideas into a procedural paragraph, learning how to write instructions that others can follow. 🔹 Edit their paragraph using a step-by-step editing process to polish their work. Please note: We will be using our imaginations in this class and discussing magical creatures such as unicorns, dragons, and other fantastical elements. This creative approach helps learners engage with the writing process while having fun! By the end of the class, learners will have created their own magical potion recipe, from the ingredients to its effects, while strengthening their writing skills in a fun, supportive environment. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help! We can't wait to meet your learner and start this magical writing adventure together!
