Class Experience

Students will improve their English Language Arts skills.
As a middle school English Language Arts, History, and Playwriting for 9 years, I have shared the power of stories with young people. My evolution as a practitioner also motivates me to seek opportunities that would contribute to the widespread dissemination of the transformative practices I have witnessed benefit my students. I have earned a Bachelor’s of Arts as an English major at the University of Pennsylvania. I also earned a Master’s of Education from the University of Pennsylvania as well. I hold active teaching certificates for English grades 7-12 and Social Studies 7-9.
Depending on your student's goals, homework can be assigned to reinforce session lessons.
Students may bring outside work or texts to the sessions. In the case of custom lessons, students may need a novel and access to Google Apps such as Google Slides and Google Forms.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
  • Google Slides & Forms
Formative assessments will be used to measure student success and make adjustments.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Let's chat! Our discussions prior to sessions will help me best help your learner. Please let me know what they need, any work that needs to be completed, or any other information that may be useful.
