Welcome to English Language Arts: Persuasive Paragraph Writing-The Cookie Contest! 🍪Maria’s Bakery is hosting a competition for the best new cookie flavor. The winner will be chosen as Cookie of the Month! Each student will create an illustration of their cookie and write a paragraph explaining why their cookie should be Cookie of the Month! Maria is looking for creative ideas and strong persuasive writing! Please note that there are no live meetings for this class. All material will be posted in the classroom for you to view at your convenience. This is a self-paced version of our live class. (3/4 ELA, Week 33) This class will contain three recorded videos and three independent activities. Lesson Overview: ✦Introduction Video: An introduction to persuasive paragraph writing. ✦Drawing Activity: Draw and color a picture of your cookie creation. ✦Graphic Organizer Video: Learn how to use a graphic organizer to plan your writing. ✦Graphic Organizer Activity: Complete your graphic organizer. ✦Persuasive Writing Video: Write along with the video, step by step. ✦Editing Activity: Edit your work for clarity and strength. Learners are encouraged to share their drawings, graphic organizers, and persuasive paragraphs. We will provide positive feedback and encourage your writer.
