Homework
I will not assign homework, but students may want to work on their SMART goal on their own at any time.Class Experience
US Grade 1 - 6
In this private lesson, you have an opportunity for growth in many areas of ELA and Writing. This may include, but is not limited to, homework help, spelling, grammar, mechanics, creative story telling, editing, reading comprehension, and more. My job as a tutor will be to meet your child where they are and help them to rise to the level they hope to achieve. In order to do this, we will take time at the start of our first session to create a SMART goal (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-based). We will revisit this SMART goal at the start of each meeting to make sure it is being met and still applies to our goal. If necessary, we adjust the goal and keep going. I will assist you in reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. During the first session, we will also evaluate the project they are working on. If your learner does not have a project they are currently working on we will develop one along with our SMART goal. I am happy to create an estimate of how many meetings it will take to complete the project. The class can also be ongoing until the SMART goal is met and then we can set another. This class is best for anyone seeking help or enrichment for ELA and writing. You may want assistance in school projects or personal projects - I am happy to adjust my teaching to meet your needs! Teacher's expertise: I have a BA in English and an MA in English and Creative Writing. I have been a tutor for students age 5- 18 as well as adult learners for over 10 years.
Learning Goals
We will create a SMART goal (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-based) that will help the learner to reach their individual goal.
