Description

Class Experience

This is an English Reading Readiness Course for the Emergent Pre-reader. Students will learn the beginning skills for reading and writing by learning alphabet recognition, phonics awareness and practice writing skills. In order to obtain the most from this class this is an Full Curriculum Semester Course with the approach of learning all 26 letters of the alphabet, their phonetic sounds, and how to write them.

Printable coloring and writing sheets will be provided.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Youtube

Progress is assess through class participation and discussion.

20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

Youtube Kids Videos highlighting the letters of the week will be used in Screen Share.

Youtube Kids Videos will be shown on share screens along with Google Slides or Canva presentations.
