Beginner Level
What will be taught: Students learn learn what is the verb in the sentence. Students will answer the question "What" after the verb in each sentence. Students will look at a clue to what happened in the sentence. Students learn how direct objects is used with an action verb. Students learn direct objects is a word in the predicate that receives the action of a verb. Students learn direct objects can be a noun, or pronoun, a word that takes place of a noun. Students will be challenged a writing activity using action verbs and direct objects. How will I teach it: Discussion, slides, some writing activities to practice the lesson including white board will be used.

Students will understand which word is a direct object in sentences. Students learn sentences express a complete thought with only a subject and an action verb.Other Details
Parental Guidance
Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
