Description
Class Experience
In this class, students will be provided engaging, English as a Second Language lesson as a total immersion art class. I will be speaking and providing instruction 100% of the time in English. This class is perfect for learners who wish to learn more conversational sentences, learn new vocabulary and free talk while participating in this art class: clay. Practicing English everyday is important in order to learn the language. And this is a wonderful opportunity to do so with other...
Students will gain confidence to speak in conversational English by learning to converse with other students while exploring clay!
Supplies are simple for this class- your child will need air-dry clay, a paper-plate or another form of a working surface, and a little pointy stick such as a wood skewer or other clay tools you might have. Any type of air-dry clay is fine. There are many makers of air-dry clay on the market- here are a few names : Crayola, it comes in a bucket, DAS is another good name too...I use air-dry clay that is actual clay...it is from the brand AMACO. Please use the type of air-dry clay your child likes.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please read the label of the air-dry clay you choose to work with for any possible allergies. There are different kinds of crafty air-dry clay packaged in tubs and plastic. I use the brand AMACO- it is real clay.
