English Grammar - Usage of the Apostrophe.

This topic is challenging for students; once they master this, their written skills will improve. Is it "its" or "it's", "Who's" or "Whose"?

Description

Class Experience

Students will benefit by improving their written communication and bettering their grasp of grammar.
I am passionate about this topic as I find adults as well as students of all age groups making mistakes in the usage of the Apostrophe.
Many students will take the SAT a few years from now and this is one area they need to work on to better their written skills.
I have been teaching English for nearly 30 years and I love to share my knowledge of this subject and be a part of their academic journey.
This is a one time class and hence there will be no homework. However, students will be sent class material by email.
3 page worksheets will be sent by email to students, in advance.
Learner progress will be assessed in the class itself via discussions and question-answers. The class material that will be sent by email will be extensive enough for students to learn the topic being discussed.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
