In this 9-week course, students will build upon foundational knowledge of the English language to expand their vocabulary, grammar and speaking skills.

US Grade 6 - 9
Beginner - Intermediate Level
Class structure will build on students' prior knowledge of the English language. Students will interact with each other by asking questions in English. I will teach using slides, screen shares for grammar/vocab practice and some games. My teaching style differs based on what students learn best from (visual, auditory or kinetic). Topics such as current events and typical cultural differences may also be covered via video/newspaper clips. Content will start with questions/sentence starters...
I have taught ELD at the middle and high school level for approximately 4 years and am currently a mentor teacher-coach for ELD teachers at a middle school. In addition I coach teachers school-wide on best practices to use during instruction for multilingual learners at all levels.
