Class Experience

This class is meant for children learning English as a second language.

Please consider applying to this class if your child possesses basic reading and conversational skills that would make them suitable for a lower-intermediate lesson.

Students will be introduced to the theme of picnics by helping a fictional character, Roy, create one himself! The students will help him choose an invitation, write the invitation, decide where to have the picnic, choose what food to bring, and also decide which of Roy's friends to invite!

I always strive to make my students feel comfortable and happy to be in class. My teaching style is positive, energetic, humorous, and engaging. I try to make a stress-free environment while maintaining productivity and ensuring the class runs smoothly. My main goal is to deliver a high-quality ESL lesson that will help the student to feel more confident in their abilities. At the Beginner or Intermediate levels, students are developing their English speaking and reading, so I am here to guide them through the experience. I ensure that classes with more than one student deliver equal speaking and problem-solving opportunities.

If your child is shy and you want to find a patient teacher, that is me! Parents often tell me that their child is shy and they may need extra patience and explanation. I excel in this area and am happy to take that into consideration.

I am qualified because I have a CELTA Certificate, 120 Hour ESL Certificate, 2 bachelor's degrees, experience teaching hundreds of different students of all age groups, online and in-person experience, experience working with students from varying countries such as China, Mexico, Korea, Colombia, Honduras, and Spain. I've tutored immigrants in the USA, too. I speak both English and Spanish.

Please send me a message if you have any questions, and I will respond as soon as possible. Thank you for reading my description, and I hope to meet you soon!
