Wordly Wise is an excellent vocabulary program that gives students a wonderful introduction to new words! Using short but impactful activities, students will learn 10 new words each week. This class will meet ONCE a week to review all sections of each lesson weekly. Students must have their own copy of the Wordly Wise 3000 Book 2 workbook to participate in class. Book 2 is typically for Grade 2 students, but any learner between 6-10 years old is welcome to enroll. ** Lessons DO NOT build on...
This class is taught in English.
Students will broaden their learning horizons as they learn new words, discover how to use them in everyday language, and deepen their understanding of how we use words to communicate clearly and effectively. Confidence in vocabulary will often increase a student's proficiency in spelling and love of reading!
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Minor in English Literature from the University of California at San Diego. For the past 20 years, I have taught children both as a homeschool teacher and in local co-op classes. I have also been teaching children online for the past 2.5 years with VIPKid and on Outschool. I have taught all levels of Wordly Wise 3000 as a homeschool educator for over 18 years and believe it is a superior curriculum for learning vocabulary and increasing spelling proficiency!
