Class Experience

Students learn about current events related to engineering & society.
Students learn common ethical theories in a simplified way.
Students learn how to agree/disagree in a healthy, professional manner.
I have been a Teaching Assistant for a 2nd year Undergraduate course call "Engineering & Society," in which we cover similar topics in a seminar-style format. I have 2 years of experience in this role, and am equipped to teach similar content to younger students in a way that is engaging and insightful.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Dear parents/guardians,

In this course, students will learn about some of modern science's greatest ethical dilemmas. As a facilitator, I will encourage students to evaluate multiple viewpoints and adopt a viewpoint for the purpose of practicing their debating skills and using fact-based arguments. Students will not be asked to share, comment on or promote personal opinions regarding the topic in discussion.

I will mention this at the beginning of each class. I would encourage you to do the same with your child.

Best regards,
