Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
Students will apply hands on engineering and Earth science simulation experiments.  Each week students will learn about a different natural disaster that happens on earth. Then students will create and perform an experiment to simulate that week's natural disaster.  For each experiment, students will use their brainstorming and problem solving skills to engineer the strongest house to survive the natural disaster experiment. 

Week 1: Earthquake Shaking Engineering Experiment
Week 2: Volcano Experiment
Week 3: Tsunami Engineering Experiment

Safety First! Guidelines for All Classes (For Parents and Students) - Work under the supervision of an adult at home - All materials are to be used carefully and with caution - Clean up and properly dispose of materials after class - Wash your hands =) All activities in Ms. Sarah’s classes are to be done under the supervision of an adult, who is responsible for the safety of the student. Ms. Sarah is not responsible for any injuries or accidents resulted in class or after class.

Large container (To make waves & semi-deep *waves may spill over) at least 9 x 13 or bigger container or rubbermaid
