Description

Class Experience

1. Students will review and increase understanding of a variety of reading strategies.
2. Students will practice and improve upon traits of writing.
3. Students will become familiar with the spelling and definition of vocabulary words from the novel.
Students will be expected to complete chapter readings in advance of each class, as well as an optional written assignment.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
While recommended for children in the class-prescribed age bracket, The Sea of Monsters does contain mild fantasy violence and language, as well as portrayals of characters being bullied for being "different".
