For some species, time on planet Earth is running out. Human beings are the greatest threat to the survival of endangered species with poaching, habitat destruction and the effects of climate change causing a lot of the problems. Take this class to learn about some of the beautiful creatures most in need of our help, protection and conservation. In this class, we will cover some of the animals that are critically endangered. We will discuss each animal and what threatens their lives. We will have a conversation about conservation and how we can protect these animals and prevent them from becoming extinct. My classes are well structured and are discussion-based. We start the class with a "check-in" activity, which aims to allow each student to share anything about their day/week. We then follow a presentation and have discussions about each animal. Students can share their prior knowledge through teacher-led questions and they are also encouraged to ask their own questions as well. This class fosters critical thinking as students are encouraged to make connections between different animals. I am a inclusive teacher who aims to ensure my classes are a safe space for learning & growth. In my class, all children are welcomed and embraced.
