Do you know what it means for an animal to be endangered? Is there anything we can do to help them? Join me at my virtual zoo to find out the answers to those questions and so much more. In this class, designed for learners ages 5-7, students will learn about Conversation Status and focus on animals whose species is endangered. Learners will study the sea turtle and the crocodile! This class is interactive and students will be engaged with questions such as “What do you see?” And “What do you think?” I will challenge my students to interact, ask questions, and most importantly have fun in class. Before the class meets, students will receive a worksheet that we will use throughout the class. There is no prior experience necessary. Just come with a love for wildlife!
Learning Goals
In this class, not only will students increase their knowledge of animals, they will be practicing their conversation skills, reading, and writing.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have volunteered at the Birmingham zoo and had the opportunity to teach children about fossils and replicas of wildlife for a real hands-on experience. I have also helped children feed and care for various animals throughout the zoo and taught them the importance of wildlife conservation. This experience has given me the knowledge I need to teach a virtual zoo today!
