In this one-week class, we will be discussing the second book in the Encyclopedia Brown series!
Class experience
In this class, we will be discussing the adventures of Leroy Brown as he uses his quick whit and knowledge of random trivia to help solve mysteries all around town. Of course, no one actually called him Leroy; everyone just calls him Encyclopedia. There are clues and chances to solve mysteries on every page. But, can you solve the mystery before Encyclopedia? Education: BA in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Communication and minors in Philosophy and Theology from the University of St. Thomas Experience: More than 9 years as a homeschool parent, more than 30 years of being an avid reader, 3 years of writing fiction while meeting with published authors to discuss different aspects of writing and books, 6 previous high school-level classes taught on this platform in addition to several classes taught on the aspects of writing on Outschool as well as at local libraries for more than 2 years, I am also a Municipal Liaison for the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) program
All students will need a copy of Encyclopedia Brown and the Case of the Secret Pitch as well as a copy of the literary elements which will be available in the classroom during the week of class.
