During this English escape room, we will look for clues and solve challenges that involve reading, vocabulary words, writing, and rhyming. Notably, we will use our critical thinking and creative powers to help Wella, the witch, learn and earn a prize. At the beginning of the meeting, we will introduce ourselves, and I will provide information about the storyline and escape room. There are various ways to "unlock" things, and I have it set up where I can give extra hints, if needed. I used Canva to design this escape room, and it features cool video clips and intriguing images. I will share my screen during the meeting. Learners don't click on anything, but they say and/or write down various things. This class features enchanting elements, but it has a secular and creative focus. Essentially, I love escape rooms, and I enjoy making educational experiences entertaining. Learners often inspire me and each other with their fresh, funny, and interesting ideas. My friendly personality helps facilitate learning and conversations. I look forward to connecting with more magical minds!

Parental Guidance
This class involves things like magic, spells, and witches. As I previously mentioned, it's a secular and creative class. The focus is on using our imagination while practicing some English skills. I am not a witch, but I will be dressed up like a witch. This escape room should not be scary to most learners. Overall, I tried to make it fun and whimsical. I created the escape room with Canva, and I will share my screen during the meeting. Lastly, some things glow, shimmer, blink, sparkle, and/or move. Please message me if you have any concerns, comments, or questions. Thank you.
Supply List
Learners can bring a pencil, eraser, and some paper. If they want to dress up like a witch or a wizard, that's awesome. They can also bring relevant things like a wand (or a stick).

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Kendall. I've been teaching on Outschool since July 2021, and I've joyfully worked with children for over 10 years. Essentially, I enjoy personalizing educational experiences and facilitating learning in fun ways. I'm an encouraging educator, and I value authenticity, creativity, and diversity. On Outschool, I mainly teach poetry and writing classes. I taught English online to children in other countries for 2 years, and I'm excited to connect with more learners from around the world. I'm TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certified. I've also worked as an English tutor, after-school science instructor, engaging camp counselor, and assistant camp supervisor. Additionally, I've really enjoyed working with children who are autistic, and I have some personal and professional experience with neurodiversity. Notably, I'm grateful for all of the bright and beautiful brains that help make Outschool so cool! :-]
As a lifelong learner, I appreciate how others and education can shape our evolution. I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a BA in Anthropology, and I have an AA in Psychology from a community college. I decided that I want to become a veterinarian later in life, so I've been working on prerequisites that I need for vet school. I love the flexibility and outstanding opportunities that Outschool offers. So, cheers to learning and loving an array of things! Thank you, and I look forward to connecting with you.
