Description
Class Experience
In this 3 day camp students will learn a brief overview of the basics of how to be a star singer. In the beginning of class I will teach the students how to warm up their voices properly and coach students in a new singing technique each day. Every class will be different! Some examples are: proper chin position, the different voice registers, an explanation of lip trills and humming. I will demonstrate each step and students will mirror me (if they are able). Students will learn proper chin position, posture and breathing techniques. They will also learn about their different voice registers, an explanation of lip trills and humming, Characterization and how to rap.
I have been a student of voice for over 25 years. I have coached and trained numerous youth for the past 10 in vocal performance. I am also a High School Drama Director and award winning community theater actress.
Familiarize yourself with the music.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please be aware that certain songs may contain tame swear words. I will use the filtered/edited version of Hamilton. If you would like a copy of the song lyrics prior to class I would be happy to provide them for you.
