In this one time class Miss B and students will sing along to a few Encanto songs, focusing on the chest voice.

This class will be focusing on the chest voice. When Luisa from Encanto sings, most of the time she is using her CHEST voice. I will explain and demonstrate how to use and activate the chest voice and then we will sing a couple of songs from the movie. I might ask the student to go to their room and put on something that makes them feel the most confident when they sing, like a hat or a fun crown. Anything works. I'd like them to bring a bottle of room temperature water for lubrication of the vocal chords.

The songs we will be covering is "Under the Surface" and "We Don't Talk About Bruno." Make sure your child is familiar with those songs so they can get the most out of the class.

Hi! I'm Miss B! I am a vocal teacher for kids of all ages! My classes consist of learning the basics of vocal technique and vocal health. I focus on learning different parts of the voice, warmups to warm up that part of the voice, and fun! I was a singer for Disney World for 8 years. I've also worked for Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Sea World and Universal. I've had ten years of opera training and can sing in 5 different languages. I've learned a lot of singing techniques and I want to pass on the basics to your child in a fun way! It's really important to teach kids to have fun while they are singing and to not take themselves too seriously. Nerves can really take away the fun and part of singing and the freedom it brings. My class isn't about being perfect, having the perfect tone, pitch or placement. It's about awareness of the voice, what it can do and making it fun and theatrical!
