Class Experience

Welcome to Encanto Freeze Dance! Each week, we will be solving about a new Encanto themed mystery. We will be going on fun adventures and solving mysteries!

I use a freeze dance set up for my online classes! I have found that it allows for a natural brain break for this age group!

Every class:
1. We start out by greeting each other and checking in to share any good news we might have!
2. We find out what mystery we will be solving during this class.
3. We warm up our bodies to freeze dance.
4. Freeze Dance! (This is the where the bulk of the information is taught! During the "freeze" portion, students and teachers will explore and use clues to solve the mystery! We will be dancing to the Encanto soundtrack!)

Upcoming Schedule:
week 1 (9/5-9/9)- Let's find Mirabel!
week 2 (9/12-9/16) - Luisa is Super Strong? Where is her strength?!
week 3 (9/19-9/23) - Find Camilo- adventures in shapeshifting
week 4 (9/26-9/30) - Antonio & his animals

We will be using solving mysteries and using clues to find missing characters.
As a teacher, I will be using:
-Beginning sounds
-Phoneme Blending
-Syllable counting
-Addition
-Subtraction
and so much more as the "clues." We will be learning as we have fun! I think it is important to be make my lessons as cross-curricular as possible to make teachable moments and meet my students' needs.

I love keeping my classes active and look forward to dancing and learning with my students!

Please remember to provide your student with a clear, safe space to freeze dance! They will need water for water breaks as needed. Please make sure an adult is nearby for supervision!

Hello! My name is Lili Flores!

I have a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6 (Education Prek- 6th Grade) with a Bilingual component from Texas State University.

I taught Kindergarten for 4 years and 2nd grade for 1 year in a traditional classroom setting. I have 4 years of online teaching experience. I started teaching on Outschool in 2020 and have loved connecting with students and families here!

My goal for my online classroom is to create a space where my students feel listened to, comfortable and loved; all while having fun!

We will be learning and playing together! I love keeping my classes active so make sure you bring some water with you!

Spanish is my first language and I love teaching kiddos to love it. I also love drawing, reading books and laughing. I look forward to doing all of those things with your kiddos.

I believe relationship is the foundation of any teacher/student interaction. It is my hope that all of my students feel seen, heard and valued.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with your child and I cannot wait to meet them!
