If you enjoyed Encanto and Isabela, you will love this class. This is a perfect way to mix the entertainment of the song What Else Can I Do? and gross motor skills. We will learn some choreography, dance to a lot of upbeat songs from the movie and more. Throughout class, we will talk about how dance movement can help us remember words to the song and vice versa. This is a perfect way for your learner to get the wiggles out by dancing as well as teaching their brain multi tasking. Some dance steps they will learn are step touch, jazz square, port de bras (carriage of the arms), and of course to have fun while doing it! We will focus on dance steps as well as incorporating the value of self and how we should try our hardest but perfection comes with how we are unique and not bound to being perfectionists. We will also play some fun show and tell/scavenger hunt games throughout our class.

Supply List
This class includes movement so a space with no obstacles is recommended. *Please note that in all classes including music and movement, learners will be asked to unmute themselves after each song. I wish I could do it for you, but ZOOM requires each user to unmute themselves. This is a way to minimize glitching with audio and video. We will practice this at the beginning of each class.*
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
I was born in Brazil and raised in a Brazilian household. My first language is Portuguese and I have studied Spanish since a young age. As my own children grow up, I try to teach them English, Spanish and Portuguese, one word at a time as I will do in this class.
I have been teaching children for over 20 years and have a degree in Dance and English. We will move and learn while having fun! My performing credits include Touring the World with Broadway’s Evita, Sesame Street Live, and performing in Disney World Theme Parks as well as regional theatres for children and adults alike. It is extra fun to take class from the real life Pinkalicious, Little Red Riding Hood and Dorothy!
I look forward to meeting your student and learning through play.
