In this one time class, we will discuss feeling happy. We will read a story, sing songs and talk about our favorite things. We will have a show and tell where the students will bring their favorite item that makes them the happiest!

This is a fun class where we will talk about the feeling of happiness. We all love to be happy! We will read the story, Hippo is Happy, published by Make Believe Ideas. The students will answer the question "What are some things that make you happy?". We will have a show and tell where the students show each other their favorite things! The students can discuss why their item makes them happy. We will sing a song about being happy. This song will have movements where the kids can move and dance!

The students will be able to discuss things that make them happy. They will be able to answer the question "What are some things that make you happy?". They will be able to talk to the teacher and each other.

Supply List
The students can bring an item that makes them happy (toy, book, picture, etc.). They will use this for show and tell, where they show each other the item that makes them the happiest! They also should bring a piece of paper and a pen/crayon/etc. to draw with.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hi! My name is Jessica Figueroa, or Teacher Jessica! I have a double Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Liberty University. I also have my TESOL certification. I have taught preschool/young elementary age children for over ten years. I have taught online ESL since July 2019. I homeschool two of my children, both in early elementary grades.
I love to teach preschool and elementary aged children. There is never a dull moment with this age group! My teaching style is a unit-study type approach. I love teaching different themes and incorporating all subjects in the theme such as math, science and reading!
My husband is in the military, so we move quite often. My favorite hobby is traveling. My husband's career has allowed us to travel around the world! I also love all things princesses and Disney! :)
