We will talk about the feeling of anger. We will read the story, Alligator is Angry, published by Make Believe Ideas. We will discuss ways we can calm ourselves down if we are upset. We will act these ways out so we can practice together. We will sing a song about what to do when we are mad. We will draw a picture of two faces: one angry and one happy. At the beginning of the class, the students will answer the question "What is something that makes you angry?". At the end of the class, the...
The students will learn ways to cope with their angry feelings. It is normal for children to become angry. When they learn ways to cope with their anger, they will be able to handle it better in the future.
The students will need to bring a piece of paper and a pen/pencil/marker to class. They will be drawing faces during class on the paper.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
