Class Experience

Students will learn how to handle the challenges of life such as friend drama, bullying, sibling disputes, divorce, new living situations, etc. activities include meditation, writing, and drawing. Homework assigned will be writing in a journal and meditation exercises. 

Class outline:
Day 1:  Learners will learn about their emotions, and where they are found and felt in the body (heart).  They will create intentions focused on emotional balance and will learn a Heartmath technique called Heart-Focused Breathing.  They will discuss what anxiety is and how it affects the physical body.
Day 2: Learners will learn the purpose of fear, anxiety, sadness, and anger along with writing and drawing how they feel during these emotions and how they can accept the emotions and create a peaceful reaction to these emotions.  Learners will learn Heartmath Freeze Frame Technique and Inner Ease Technique for creating emotional balance during intense emotions.  
Day 3:  Learners will learn more techniques such as progressive muscle relaxation, sound meditation, and how to add mindfulness into their day.  They will also create a poster as a visual to remind them of the tools and techniques they have learned in class.
