In this one-time class students will be shown multiple strategies for adding and subtracting unlike denominator fractions. Students will be shown how to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators using number lines and standard algorithm. Class will be taught using an I Do, We Do, You Do method where the teacher will demonstrate the strategy, then students will walk the teacher through the strategy and last they will complete the strategy on their own.
