In this one time arts and crafts class, children will learn to make a toy- just like the elves at the North Pole! Children will be making a teddy bear while we chat about upcoming holiday celebrations. No sewing is required for this fun and simple craft and toy. Children may also wish to double the list below so they can make two bears- one to keep and one to give a friend! Please bring: -1 clean socks -About 10 rubber bands -Pack of Cotton balls (But these are not for eating, Buddy!) -Permanent or Fabric Markers ^Double if you want to make a pair of bears

Welcome! My name is Ms. Jessie. Put simply, my purpose for teaching children is to facilitate positive self-expression and constructive self-reflection.
I’m a certified Creativity Coach and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Developmental Psychology. I have experience in various forms of teaching, including working as an art specialist, camp counselor, teen mentor, early childhood educator, TESOL certified ESL teacher, and homeschooling mom.
I believe that art has a unique power to reinforce new ideas as well as help youth express themselves in a unique and joyful way.
