Younger students will learn all about elephants through interactive and creative learning methods. Students will learn about elephants, their habitat, eating habits and family life. A focus will be on conservation. Students will learn also be part of an interactive simulation where they play the role of an elephant and see if they can survive realistic encounters in Africa. Students will learn all about elephants including the anatomy, feeding, behavior, habitat and bear family life both in the wild and also in refuges and zoos. Conservation is stressed throughout the course.
Paper, pens, pencils, markers and pencil crayons.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
