Elephant and Piggie Story Time With Ice Cream Directed Drawing
In this course students will listen to an animated and magical telling of the story, Elephant and Piggie: Should I Share My Ice Cream. We will work on age appropriate comprehension strategies such as retelling, predicting, making inferences and so much more. Next we will play an ice cream themed game to help us work further on our comprehension strategies. We will then create a quadruple dipped ice cream cone directed drawing art piece. At the end of each class, we will have time to share and celebrate our artwork together. I can't wait to see you there!

We will go on a wonderful adventure together by scooping deep into the story, Should I Share My Ice Cream! Students will be asked to think deeply about the text using various reading strategies. Students will be asked to predict, make inferences, retell, and make text to self connections throughout the animated reading of this adorable story. This story will also ask students to self reflect about the way they treat others around them. Together we will play an ice cream themed comprehension game and then start on our art together. The art will be done LIVE so that I can guide your students in the best possible way. For younger learners or those that may prefer to skip out on the drawing, I will include a copy of the ice cream drawing in case they would prefer to color it instead. Students will only need a pencil, paper, and whatever medium they chose to color it in with.

As a result, I have become proficient at designing creative and stimulating lesson plans, which accommodate multiple intelligences, brings a hands-on learning approach to learning, and keeps students interested and focused. I've been known to turn my classroom into a jungle, a ninja training center, secret agent head quarters, or even into Mario World in order to create meaningful and engaging lessons that children will never forget. Doing that digitally requires a little creativity, but the kids still thoroughly enjoy themselves in such an experience.
