Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
During this interactive class students will learn about the climate and location of different biomes in addition to the different plants and animals in their relation as apart of the food web of each biome. Each week we will focus on a different biome going through 7 different biomes over the course of 8 weeks to learn about the tundra, coniferous forest, deciduous forest, rainforest, grasslands, desert, and ocean.
Each meeting we will follow a simple routine. Our class will begin with greetings and introductions. The first week we will focus on learning about important definitions and diagrams. In the following weeks, we share about what we know and wonder about the biome of the week as mentioned in the schedule below. Afterwards, we will go through a presentation while discussing the plants, animals, climate, and region using graphic organizers, maps, pictures, and diagrams to record information about the biome we are learning about. At the end of each class we will conclude by sharing the most interesting thing we have learned about the biome of that week.
