In this class, we will be learning about the skeletal system and the bones that make up our body including the names of some of the larger bones. We will also learn the function of our skeletal system as a support structure for our body. We will talk about X-rays and how they are able to see our bones. And what happens when we break a bone. We will make an X-ray project in class together using Q-tips and black construction paper. We will also work on labeling our skeleton handout with the...
Students will have a basic understanding of the structure and function of the the human skeletal system.
I am a Certified Child Life Specialist and have experience working with hospitalized children and providing education about the human body.
Q-tips, glue, a white crayon, scissors and 2 pieces of black construction paper needed for our in class craft. Class handouts will be provided by the teacher.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
