Class Experience
Welcome to Unit Five of Elementary Science! In this 4-week unit, students will discover the wonders of space through the study of astronomy. Your children will be engaged through hands-on lessons, interactive PowerPoints, and discussion. Students will learn about Astronomy! By the end of the unit they will gain an in-depth knowledge of space science, the solar system, sun, stars, and much more!
I am a former fourth grade teacher. I have a Master's degree in Elementary Education, and I am certified to teach in the state of Virginia. I am also a current home school mom who will be using the same materials I teach with my own children.
Students will have no additional homework outside of class. Materials must be pre-cut before class, but I will try to limit the amount of time outside of the virtual classroom. If they are unable to finish their interactive notebook pages, they are expected to have this completed by the next class.
-Spiral bound notebook -Printable materials (provided one week before the start of class) -Scissors -Crayons/Colored Pencils -Glue -Stapler -Pencil or Pen
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be handling sharp objects during class, including scissors and a stapler.
