We will be reading small portions of a Judy Blume book and have a short discussion each week. We will discuss different topics based on each book. This class will help students with reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. We will also take the time to go over any difficult or uncommon words to find their true meaning. This class will help students with reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.
Students are expected to read each book before the start of class each week, as we will not be reading the entire book during class. Discussion questions will be posted in the classroom before each class to help prepare the student for our discussion in class.
Depending on which week you choose to sign up (we will be reading & discussing 5 Judy Blume books... the books are: Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Otherwise Known as Sheila the Great Superfudge Fudge-a-mania Double Fudge
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
These books are generally recommended for students in 2nd - 3rd grade or ages 7-9.
