Description
Class Experience
Join me in a reading adventure, designed for late Elementary School aged children (4th and 5th grade). In this ongoing course, students will meet fellow book lovers and explore many types of reading materials. Each week, there will be an in class reading to discuss. We will read a book, short story, article, or poem together in class. Reading outside of the classroom is not required because we will read and discuss it in class. Students will be encouraged to answer pre and post reading...
Students will improve reading fluency, comprehension, and critical thinking skills.
No homework will be required for this class.
Readings will be completed in class. Students do not need to bring the reading materials because I will be screen sharing the material we will use doing class. A writing utensil and paper is recommended for some activities or if your student would like to take notes. This is not required, only recommended.
There are no assessments for this class.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
