Class experience
US Grade 1 - 3
This class is designed for 5-9 year old learners who are struggling with foundational literacy skills. Students will need to have completed the one time assessment class "Elementary Reading Tutoring (One-On-One)" first. Each session will be tailor made for the student. Each class will follow this structure: 15 minute skill section- This is where the student will learn and practice the specific skill we are focusing on. This section may include: blending, vocabulary, sight words, prefixes,...
The student will gain the foundational literacy skills needed to improve their reading proficiency and have confidence in themselves.
I was a Site Coordinator for a literacy nonprofit for 4 years. During that time I assessed and tutored students in grades K-3.
Homework Offered
Homework will be assigned depending on the needs of the student and at the request of the parent/guardian.Assessments Offered
Sight word count and fluency tracker, as well as informal assessments as needed.Grades Offered
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
