Description

Class Experience

The teacher will create a custom math lesson for the student based on parent request.  Schedule as many slots as necessary, and please reach out with any questions or requests.  Example topics may include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, place value, problem-solving, money skills, time, or any other topic that falls under elementary mathematics. Students will become proficient in their state's standards for math.  Students will be able to solve a variety of math problems using different strategies taught during class.

I am an elementary certified teacher with 6 years of classroom experience.  I have been tutoring for the past 5 years and have worked with many students individually to build confidence and improve their math skills.  I have a calm, encouraging demeanor and love watching learners grow as mathematicians!

Students may be assigned extra practice outside of tutoring.  For example, daily practice may be needed to recall math facts quickly.  Homework should take no longer than 30 minutes outside of class.

Students will be assessed informally.  Progress will also be assessed by performance in the student's regular math class.
