Elementary Intermediate Spanish ~ Part 7 (7 of 9)

Designed for students who have completed Elementary Spanish Parts 1-6 or have had 2-3 years of Spanish instruction at school. Students will learn how to order food at a restaurant, name extended family, describe family members using positive adjectives, name various modes of transportation, and practice a weekly conversation.

Homework
1 hour per week. I will assign videos, flashcards, and memory games to practice the content learned in class. I highly recommend practicing outside of class at least 1-2 times per week for a minimum of 10 to 15 minutes. All students will be encouraged to complete a final project. In this class, students will create a menu in Spanish to share with the class.
Assessment
The assessment is the completion of the final project and participation in each class.
Certificate of Completion
Students will receive a certificate of completion for their attendance and participation upon the completion of this course.

¡Hola!

Elementary Intermediate Spanish Part 7 is an engaging and interactive class designed for students who have completed Elementary Spanish Parts 1-6 or have had 2-3 years of Spanish instruction at school. Throughout the course, students will learn how to order food at a restaurant, name extended family, describe family members using positive adjectives, name various modes of transportation, and practice a weekly conversation. Additionally, students will learn letters, review previous vocabulary, and practice possessive "de." The course concludes with a final project presentation and celebration of learning.

Week 1 Topics:  
I know frequently used classroom phrases. 
Review: shapes and colors
Learn letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G
I can introduce myself to the class. (Hola.  Me llamo _________.  Tengo ___ años.  Soy ______.  Mi color favorito es ___________.
I can name family members.
I can name extended family members. 
Grammar Topic: Possessive "de"

Week 2 Topics:
Review: I can say my eye and hair color. 
Review: I can name farm animals. 
Learn letters: H, I, J, K, L, M, N
I can have a conversation about likes/dislikes.
I can name extended family members. 

Week 3 Topics:
Review: I can count from 1 to 20.
Review: I can name pets. 
Learn letters: Ñ, O, P, Q, R, S, T
I can have a conversation to discuss foods I like. 
I can use positive adjectives to describe myself and my family members.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Students will utilize Kahoot & Blooket in some class to play a game to demonstrate understanding of the concepts learned. Students will need to use a split screen or have a separate device to play the game during class. I will provide a game PIN during class for students to login into the game. Students may need some parental assistance logging into the game. These resources are free to use and do not require a separate login.

Completion of Elementary Spanish Parts 1-6 or 2-3 years of Spanish as a specials course at school.
