Designed for students who have completed Elementary Spanish Parts 1-6 or have had 2-3 years of Spanish instruction at school. Students will learn how to order food at a restaurant, name extended family, describe family members using positive adjectives, name various modes of transportation, and practice a weekly conversation.

Students will improve their novice-intermediate Spanish speaking skills and foster excitement for continued language learning! See the class "I can statements." for specific content that will be learned in the class.
My formal education includes a major in Spanish and a minor in education. I have been teaching Spanish to elementary-age students since 2010! My experience includes teaching in public schools for 9 years, online ESL for 6 years, and on Outschool since June 2020. I also have created Elementary Spanish curricula for a private school and all of my curricula on Outschool.
Homework Offered
I will assign videos, flashcards, and memory games to practice the content learned in class. I highly recommend practicing outside of class at least 1-2 times per week for a minimum of 10 to 15 minutes. All students will be encouraged to complete a final project. In this class, students will create a menu in Spanish to share with the class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

Students will receive a certificate of completion for their attendance and participation upon the completion of this course.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will utilize Kahoot & Blooket in some class to play a game to demonstrate understanding of the concepts learned. Students will need to use a split screen or have a separate device to play the game during class. I will provide a game PIN during class for students to login into the game. Students may need some parental assistance logging into the game. These resources are free to use and do not require a separate login.
We will begin to practice writing more intentionally. Students are encouraged to keep a Spanish journey and/or have a whiteboard and dry erase marker for in-class activities.
