Elementary Beginner Spanish (Once-Weekly) ~ Part 2

Come sing, move, and play games in Spanish in this 16-week course, the second class of an 8-part series! Students will take what they learned in "Beginner Elementary Spanish ~ Part 1" and extend their conversations and vocabulary. Please read the class description below for all the learning goals.

Homework
1 hour per week. Optional worksheets, videos, and games will be sent out after each class to practice concepts learned in class.
Assessment
There will be a final project each student will present during our last class together.
Grading
All students will receive a certificate of completion for their attendance and participation upon the completion of this course.

¡Hola! 

Come sing, move, and play games in Spanish in this 16-week course, the 2nd class of a six-part series!  We will take what we learned in Elementary Spanish Part 1 and extend our conversations.  In Part 2 we will learn how to talk about the weather, places in a city, clothing, and continue to have basic conversations.   “Elementary Spanish Club ~ Part 1” is preferred as a prerequisite or some introductory experience learning Spanish.  All classes will include some singing and games to maintain high interest and have fun!  

Lessons 1 & 2: 
I know frequently used classroom phrases. 
I can recall previously learned concepts. (introductions, colors, and numbers)
I can name and count clothing items.

Lessons 3 & 4: 
I can recall previously learned concepts. (clothing, family)
I can say how old I am. 
I can talk about the weather.
I can say what I wear. (llevo)

Lessons 5 & 6: 
I can recall previously learned concepts. (clothing, weather, basic conversation)
I can say where I live. 
I can say what I wear and what people in my family wear. (llevo, lleva)

Lessons 7 & 8: 
I can recall previously learned concepts. (weather, city places, basic conversation)
I can say where I go in the city. 
I can name farm animals. 
I can describe farm animals by color.

Lessons 9 & 10: 
I can recall previously learned concepts. (clothing, city places, farm animals)
I can have a conversation with 2 questions.  (name, age)
I can say where animals live.  (vive)
I can describe farm animals by size. 

Lessons 11 & 12:
I can recall previously learned concepts. (clothing, farm animals)
I can have a conversation with 2 questions.  
I can name body parts.  
I can say what animals wear. 

Lessons 13 & 14:
I can recall previously learned concepts. (clothing, body parts)
I can say if I like or don’t like animals and city places.
Time to learn about the final project. 

Lessons 15 & 16:
I can recall previously learned concepts.
I can create a project to demonstrate learning.  (poster or writing piece.)
Class 1:  directions and group practice
Class 2: presentations and celebrations!
