In this class, learners will each present information about one specific element from the periodic table. Before class, learners should spend some time researching their assigned element, and putting together a plan for their presentation. They may present facts about the element, its properties or functions/uses, how it was discovered - anything relevant to the element! Students will practice independent research skills and presentation skills. Students will learn about the elements in the periodic table.
Students must prepare a presentation before class - this may include reading books or internet sources, making notes, or making visual aids. The presentation can be spoken with or without images/slides.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
