This course is about finding fun ways to stay fit and active. We will cover the different muscles and body parts (arms, legs, abs, etc...) so we will know what exactly we are working on, along with different ways to move. We will begin with a warm-up sequence, then proceed to targeted exercises that will increase your heart rate and stamina, and finish with a nice cool-down stretch. . In this course we will increase our cardio endurance using low and high impact movements.
Students will need to wear workout clothes (i.e. leggings, sweatpants, tank tops and short sleeves)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This fitness requires an ample amount of workout space. Make sure that there is enough room for the students to dance and that the area is safe from hazardous materials that they can step or run into. Make sure that the floor is not slick as well. Students will need to make sure that they are warmed up and that they have a bottle of water with them. Be at advised since this a physical course that parents monitor their children in order for them to stay safe. Injury is possible in this course just like any other sport, so make sure everyone communicates and stay aware.
