Class Experience
Today we are going to learn how to take our sentences and expand or stretch them by adding new ideas or details. When we write we sometimes forget to add important details that help our reader see what is happening in our sentences. When we expand or stretch our sentences, we paint the picture for the reader and not only become stronger writers, but make our writing more interesting and stand out.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will create a collaborative story as an informal assessment at the end of class using their expanded sentences.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
