Description
Class Experience
Welcome! During this neurodiverse-friendly ongoing class, learners will come together to collaborate to create a short story. At the end of the class, the story created by the learners will be messaged to each family. Each learner will play an important role in creating the story, and every learner has a say in what happens throughout our short story. This will start when the teacher (me!) creates a random set of topics, character ideas, types of adventures, and sub-topics in different bowls....
Students will improve and utilize the following skills: listening, collaboration, teamwork, and actively utilizing their imagination.
My B.S. and M.S. are both in psychology! I will be graduating with my EdD Spring of 2023. Additionally, I am the Deputy Director of a homeschool organization. I am skilled in working with children, encouraging them to use their imaginations, and fostering teamwork and creativity, as well as a true passion for making learning both fun and inclusive.
There will be no homework for this ongoing class.
No supplies are required.
There will be no assessment for this ongoing class. However, parents will be messaged the story that was created by the learners at the end of the class.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please note: this class will have a plethora of themes including (but not limited to) : Magic, science fiction, mystery, etc.
We will use our imagination to create a short story together.
