How does air...
Learners will develop an understanding of how air pressure works. Learners will develop an understanding of what air pressure is.
A glass bottle (ones used for juice or milk work best. A Starbucks Frappuccino bottle works really well! The bottle must be glass with a narrow neck that is only a bit smaller than the egg for this to work properly) If the opening of the bottle is too narrow the experiment will not work. A large, medium or small size peeled hard boiled egg (prep this before class) Matches or paper towel and something to light the paper towel Cooking oil (optional-can be used to grease the neck of the bottle)
Parents will need to assist in this experiment off camera. This experiment does involve the use of matches or a rolled up paper towel set on fire and will need adult assistance and supervision.
