Class Experience

This course is meant to help students practice unit conversions in a hands-on way with kitchen measuring cups and spoons.
Students Will Need: 1 transparent glass to pour measurements into 1 "collection" bowl (in case of spills) For Solid Practice: - 1 pint of sugar (in a bowl) - 1 set of measuring spoons (set should include at least: 1/4, 1/2, 1 teaspoon; 1/2, 1 Tablespoon) - 1 set of measuring cups (set should include at least: 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 1 cup) For Liquid Practice: - 1 quart of water (in a bowl) - the measuring spoons from above - 2 measuring glasses (1 up to 1 pint, 1 up to 1 quart)
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
