No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will need to use knives in this class. I try to remember to speak safety reminders in my videos, however, sometimes I forget to mention safety while I'm teaching. Please be close to your learner at all times and speak to your child about the knives they are allowed to use. Prior to taking this class, please practice cutting up fruit with them. Or if you prefer to sit beside them in class and cut the fruit for them, that is also acceptable. Please also check over the supplies list and look at all the ingredients to ensure a safe kitchen experience. I realize that some students may be allergic to nuts, and therefore cannot use peanut butter. Please check all ingredients in the supplies list to check for possible allergens such as nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, or soy. I've listed books that are available on EPIC Books. https://www.getepic.com/promo An EPIC account is not required for this class. Students certainly may check out books on the topic from the library instead of using EPIC. If you do decide to use EPIC, students may read one free book each day on a free account. If you want a one month free trial to Unlimited EPIC, I can provide that for you. With the Unlimited account, your child may read as many books as they want each day.
