US Grade 2 - 3
Children will learn basics of economics. They will understand how money and trade works. We will discuss the difference between goods and services, difference between public and private goods and services. We will discuss saving and spending money. We will work on creating budgeting and spending worksheets. Students will learn about markets and how they work. This class will be fun and interactive. Children will learn through fun games and discussions. Week 1 - Goods and services Week 2 - Ways to make money Week 3 - Budgeting/ Spending Week 4 - Markets Week 5- Public vs private services and goods Week 6 - Resources This is an ongoing class, each program has 6 weeks/ 6 modules, that will repeat.
Learning Goals
You might be asking yourself why kids need to know this. Good question! Knowing about economics helps children to understand how things work. Kids are dealing with economic factors every day, even if they don't know it. Everything around us is Economics! Students will learn what is work, ways to make and save money. They will learn basic budgeting, we will work on real problems and calculations, so students can create their own budgeting sheets.

Numbers have always been my passion. I currently teach GED courses at an adult education center where I prepare students for general high school diploma equivalency test( I specialize in Math). I'm happy to share my knowledge with others. I’m also lover of nature, healthy lifestyle and a certified Yoga Teacher. I have a Bachelors degree in Economics with Minor in Data Science, Masters degree in Economics, and Accounting and postgraduate certificate in Machine Learning. I work as an accountant and teach part time.
