In this multi-day course, students meet twice a week for four weeks. Students will learn the fundamental Principles of Ecology and Environmental Science. We will study the earth's natural history and human interactions with the environment. The class will be primarily lecture-based, and students should take notes accordingly. Each week, during our second meeting, I will ask questions about what was learned in the previous course. The class schedule is as follows: Week 1: Introduction to Environmental Science, Sustainability and The Scientific Method Week 2: Earth’s History and The 6 Mass Extinctions Week 3: Renewable vs. and Non-Renewable Energy Sources Week 4: The Greenhouse Effect and Human Interactions with the Environment No previous learning history or experience is required for this course. I encourage students to ask questions and do their research on topics they may find interesting.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in English from The University of North Texas
Hi! I'm Roxanna, and I graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Studies with concentrations in English, Biology, and French from The University of North Texas. It may appear to be an odd combination, but it provided me with expertise in a variety of subjects. I also have a minor in Social Studies, specializing in Native American History.
Currently, I am a graduate student pursuing a Master of Arts in English - Creative Writing. When I'm not writing or studying, I'm reading short stories, novels, and comic books, or spending time with my doggos and playing my Nintendo switch.
My background has allowed me to teach and mentor students in a variety of subjects and topics such as creative writing, reading comprehension, Native American history, and Ecology.
I am usually available for tutoring from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. So please message me if you don't see a time that works for you on the class schedule. Please contact me for any reason, and I will always do my best to respond within 24 hours or less.
I look forward to hearing from you and educating your learner(s)!
