What's included
1 live meeting
30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this class, students will be making vegan chocolate chip cookies. Not only will students be learning an important life skill, but I will discuss precise measuring, which also means fractions! I will guide each student step by step as they bake with me and each other in real time. Everyone will also have the opportunity to ask questions as we bake, and to interact with each other. We will start the guided course by preparing our cookie sheet with either nonstick parchment paper or nonstick cooking spray, and preheating the oven. Afterwards, we will add and mix the ingredients in a bowl. I will pause to give additional time to check on each student’s progress before we learn how to put the cookie dough on the baking sheet. We will cover the recipe and the reason we do certain steps in a specific order. If class has ended, specific instructions will be given on how to complete the baking. I will send out the recipe following the class so your new baker can make the cookies again. All the ingredients are below, please reach out to me if you have any questions.
Learning Goals
The student will learn how to bake cookies while developing measuring skills. They will also learn how to bake safely and the importance of cleaning up.
